What are the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 5? We’ve got a brand-new Chapter 5 with quite a few stand-out spots you should be heading to.

The latest season of Fortnite is here, with new features like medallions and Mythic weapons. One of the most exciting parts of it though is the launch of a brand-new island. A Fortnite Chapter 5 map has replaced the OG island. It’s full of new POIs, new unnamed spots, a whole fresh world to explore. It’s not all made equal though. The best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 5 have something to offer that the others don’t.

Now a few weeks into the new season, we’ve got a good feel for the new island. Even after their nerfs, the Fortnite Chapter 5 medallions have made some spots completely different to land at. We’re in a season with close to the most disparity between landing at some locations and others. If you want to find the best Fortnite Chapter 5 landing spots, it’s a bit of more divisive topics than in the past.

You can still head to smaller and unnamed POIs. However, with high-value items only in specific places, it’s trickier. There are also the mod benches to keep in mind. For some reason, the Fortnite mod system has been locked to just a handful of the best Fortnite landing spots. How can you make sure you’re getting the best start to a game? These are some of the top places to land in Fortnite this season.

Best Fortnite Chapter 5 Landing Spots
Lavish Lair – Best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 5 for Mythics

If you’re looking for one of the Chapter 5 Mythics or Fortnite Medallions, then Lavish Lair is probably the most popular landing spot. The Mythic it drops is actually really useful. It’s the best version of the Fortnite shotguns this season. You’re getting a higher-powered version of one of the best guns in the game.

In terms of taking down the boss, Lavish Lair isn’t the most complicated. He’s in a greenhouse all by himself and right by the vault. If you drop here, you’ll have to fight off enemies and NPCs eventually. However, as a large sprawling POI, you can quickly get enough loot to deal with them before you take the boss. Succeed and you’re getting one of the best Fortnite weapons along with a Medallion and your choice of mods for every weapon. It’s a fantastic spot, but a bit competitive.

The main reason not to drop here is that it’s a bit busy this season. A lot of players are hitting up this spot straight away. If you don’t want to deal with fights before you grab proper weapons then Lavish Lair isn’t for you.

Snooty Steppes – Best Fortnite Landing Spots for Medallions Without Fights

If you’re looking for a landing spot where you get a Mythic, a Medallion, and a relatively quiet start, it’s Snooty Steppes. It’s another one of the boss locations. This one is home to Peter Griffin and the Mythic Pump shotgun. It’s not as good as some of the other Mythics, but the mod bench in the vault and the weapon drops still make it worthwhile.

If you land here, you’ll have to face down all the NPCs from the boss fight. However, one major advantage is that it is relatively unpopular. The Pump isn’t top of the tier list this season so it’s not attracting as much attention. Unless it’s right on the bus route, most players aren’t going to head to this one of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 5.

In terms of rotation, there are a few problems here. You’re at the right edge of the map, but thankfully there is a Train Station here. You should be able to get away. The launch of Chapter 5 saw players often stuck in the storm here, but with the fixes to the storm speed this is a better drop now. Great if you want a vault and a quieter start.

Grand Glacier – Best Fortnite Chapter 5 Landing Spots for Multi Medallions

The last decent spot for getting a medallion on drop is the Grand Glacier. It’s another which is relatively out of the way and less popular. However, there are a few reasons it’s still one of the best Fortnite Chapter 5 landing spots. Once you’ve finished your vault here, you’re kitting up and within a short distance from Reckless Railways.

This is the best landing spot if you’re looking to secure more than one Medallion. It’s only a short hop down to Reckless Railways Since that’s pretty central it is nearly always in the second circle. From there, it’s equally quick over to fencing fields to take out the boss or a player claiming a medallion here. You’ll need to be quick though.

Grand Glacier is the best Fortnite landing spots if you want to collect all five medallions. Multi-medallion loadouts aren’t as attractive as in the early weeks of the season anymore, but getting all five is still a game-changer.

Ritzy Riviera

One of the more fun landing spots this season is Ritzy Riviera. It isn’t a spot with a medallion or a vault, but it’s a lot of fun and tends to be quieter. This spot is half european town and half Fortnite habour. It’s quick to loot, has terrain that’s really fun for early fights, and plenty of spawns. It won’t be as busy as any of the boss-occupied areas, but it’s one of the most fun and best Fortnite Chapter 5 landing spots.

If you want the goods of a POI without too much attention, then this is a good spot. It’s fairly quiet as long as it’s not central on the bus time.

Unnamed Vaults – Best Landing Spots in Fortnite Chapter 5 Just for Vault Loot

Alongside the five Boss Vaults this season, there are also a handful of smaller vaults. These offer guaranteed Mythic chests which is great. Plus, more loot than the vast majority of unnamed spots. This is an area where you’ll come away with the loot of a named POI. All without having to contend with the extra players gliding in that you’ll see at proper POIs.

These are great spots for a quieter landing. They do have 2 NPCs and a boss character. Although, these are the easier fights like in past seasons. Not the multi-stage affairs of the boss characters. These NPCs are simple to take down and you’ll rarely have competition from other players in this one of the best Fortnite Chapter 5 landing spots.
