‘MULALO AND MATSHIDISO RETURN’

Entertainment commentator Phi Mphela reports that fan-favourite actors Buhle Samuels and Sydney Ramakuwela, who played Matshidiso and Mulalo have returned to the soapie.

“Buhle Samuels returns to Muvhango. Buhle returns to the SABC soapie as the seductress Matshidiso. New character, Manditi, plays a very pivotal role in the reintroduction of Matshidiso in the new season storyline.”

“Sydney Ramakuwela returns to Muvhango. The Royal outcast makes a return to our screens. Mulalo’s return from Mauritius gives off the idea that the prodigal son has indeed returned,” tweeted Mphela.

SABC2 SOAPIE RENEWED

Entertainment commentator Jabu Macdonald reported in December that SABC2 soapie Muvhango has been renewed for season 25.

TVSA reported in October and November that the show is the most-watched TV show on the channel with over 1 million viewers.

Zimoja reported in November that actors and crew from the soapie were left frustrated as they have reportedly not been paid since September before production break.

A source from production told the publication that actors and crew are about to lose their homes and cars due to non-payments.

“We have been on a production break since September and have still not been paid our salaries from before we went on a break. We are not getting any answers, which shows that we work like slaves at the hands of someone respected in the showbiz industry.”

Muvhango spokesperson Ndumi Mdletshe refused to comment on the matter when she was contacted by the publication.
