Cainiao, Alibaba‘s logistics service, announced today its formal entry into the United States parcel forwarding market, providing e-commerce parcel consolidation services for Chinese communities and student groups across the US.

According to Cainiao’s cross-border export logistics department, in the US market, Cainiao offers two main types of parcel forwarding products: air freight and sea freight. The air freight product emphasizes timeliness, with the fastest delivery reaching the destination within 5 days after leaving the consolidation warehouse. Sea freight, on the other hand, is cheaper, with group purchases offering a minimum freight charge of 12 yuan and the fastest delivery time of 15 days.

Additionally, Cainiao parcel forwarding supports automatic synchronization of Taobao orders and one-click consolidation of parcels across the entire network, and it also allows for parcel status tracking.

In November last year, Cainiao announced that its cross-border flagship logistics product, “Global Five-Day Delivery,” had covered eight countries and regions worldwide. The company stated that overseas consumers who place orders under AliExpress Choice could receive parcels from China within five working days. The JIT (Just-In-Time) instant delivery service has been expanded to 18 cities in China, and Cainiao’s cross-border logistics services now cover more than 200 countries and regions.
