The ANC must stop looking for “scapegoats” by blaming opposition parties for its internal problems, the EFF said on Monday.

Responding to allegations by the ANC Youth League that the #OccupyLuthuliHouse campaign was funded by the EFF, party chairman Dali Mpofu said the EFF did not need to spend money on killing a dead organisation.

The ANC drew out its military veterans and its youth league to “defend” the party’s headquarters against a protest calling for President Jacob Zuma to resign.

Party leader Julius Malema and Public Protector Thuli Madonselain a statement said;

“The ANC must stop looking for scapegoats, third forces and ghosts because the problem is in the ANC itself,”

Meanwhile, ANCYL and MK veterans continued to “defend” Luthuli House in running battles with the protesters outside the party headquarters.

The protesters eventually handed over their memorandum to ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe.
