Former government spin doctor Mzwanele Manyi has blasted former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela’s report on state capture.

Manyi asserted that Madonsela’s report was one-sided and was concluded in a blink of an eye, without giving the implicated time to speak out on the matter.

The former cabinet spokesperson further criticised Madonsela for not using a subpoena to gather information from the implicated – this, he said flawed the credibility of the report.

“The implicated people were not even given a chance to have their inputs incorporated. “Haven’t you heard? It was hurriedly upgraded to final report without inputs from the implicated. Shocking!!,” Manyi said.

The outspoken politician wondered why Thuli should publish the report just a week after she confirmed that she has given President Zuma evidence of the state capture.

With these, the Chartered Marketer proposed that Thuli’s report be carefully kept in the museum “as an example of how not to be expedient.”

In addition, he beseeched SA’s new public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane to review and reassess Madonsela’s report with her “own” team.

He described Madonsela as the Democratic Alliance’s lapdog; insisting that her report is politically-influenced and targeted to cut President Zuma down to size.

untitledMzwanele Manyi is the President of Progressive Professionals Forum and former CEO of Government Communications and Information Systems.
Political parties such as the DA, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF); United Democratic Movement (UDM); and Congress of the People (Cope) approached the courts to ensure the report is publicly published.

The matter was subsequently fixed to be heard on November 1 at the North Gauteng High Court.
