JOHANNESBURG – Cash-strapped Denel says it can pay 45% towards November salaries after it received payments on submitted invoices.
The state-owned entity says it will communicate the payments once funds have been released.
Salaries are estimated to be at around R590m.
Denel received a lifeline in the mini-budget last month when Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana announced it would be getting R2.9bn.
The High Court in Pretoria ordered the arms manufacturer to pay staff unpaid salaries.
