The Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) has announced a nationwide strike against state capture on the 27th of September.

Cosatu has less than a month to start its mobilisation campaign across all the sections of society.

The strike is also aiming to fight corruption and job losses.

“We shall fearlessly fight for both public sector and private sector corruption in equal measure,” said the labour federation.

Cosatu general secretary Bheki Ntshalintshali told the media that the strike will be legally protected and it will affect all sectors of the economy.
