“There is no more doubt that the African National Congress has become a disgrace to the entire country‚” the Congress of the People (COPE) said‚ asserting that the ANC leadership has decided Pres. Jacob Zuma is above the law.
The ANCYL Chairperson Collen Maine on Saturday called for MK Veterans to arm themselves to defend unfire President Jacob Zuma.
Maine was speaking at a Hands Off Zuma march the city. Over 4 000 attended the peaceful gathering.
The ANC Ethekwini Region organised the event because it believed Pres. Zuma was being targeted.
“Congress of the People sees this action by the ANCYL is showing the middle finger to all all South Africans”.
Many dignitaries, even some ANC veterans has come out in the open to express their concern with the wrong direction the ANC is taking under the leadership if Pres. Zuma.
Faith based organisations, Civil society organisations, Opposition parties (DA and EFF) and some businessmen and women have called for the removal of Pres. Zuma.
”Today the ANC and the ANCYL by organising the Zuma march have said clearly to all concerned and law abiding citizens that the ANC and Zuma are above the law.” Cope said.
Party spokesman Dennis Bloem labelled this as irresponsible and dangerous.
