According to a report by Daily news, a gang have just made away with about R20 Million in Diamonds and Gold jewellery yesterday the 8th of January in Durban.
Reports have it that they came in with 10-pound hammers and crowbars wearing balaclavas and gloves, and leaving no prints. They took the security guard on duty, held him at gun while the carried out the business.
The incident is said to have happened at Osiniq Jewels store shortly before 4am. Police say the movement of the gang members suggested that they may have a background in military and escaped in a silver-grey Mercedes.
Similar cases using the same MO has happened in Durban over the last four weeks and the Police are still try to figure out if they may be the same group.
