A notorious man who murdered his lover in cold blood has requested the Moretele Magistrate court outside Pretoria to grant him conditional bail.
The accused, Thabo James Dube who hacked his supposed lover to death, secretly buried her charred remains before the discovery of the buried corpse by the Temba Police in Hammanskraal.
The deceased, Itumeleng Elizabeth Molefe has a two year old daughter for the accused. It was gathered Molefe had two children from a previous union.
The Police spokesperson noted that Dube gave the vital information which assisted greatly in the investigation process.
However, the deceased cousin Lophista Cook prayed the court to disregard Dube’s plea for bail.
According to her “we are angry and can’t believe what he did to our sister. He committed a brutal offence. He is brutal”.
Cook went ahead to express the devastation and trauma the family is going through. She further stated that:
“We trusted him. They were a happy couple. We took him as our brother. He has hurt us and we want him to face the law”. She enthused.
