There have been series of attacks on foreign Nationals especially Nigerians in Johannesburg, where resident angrily burns down properties belonging to these group of people.
As we write now more attacks are been reported in other parts of the country, with more reports coming out from a community in Pretoria. In nothing less than three days, shops belonging to Pakistani and Somalian nationals were ransacked allegedly by community members. Police have since arrested three suspects.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to ENCA, confirmed that most of the looters where customers;
“I saw about 40 people and I heard noise and heard them breaking in. I just stood far [away] to see. Because I live here I didn’t want to get involved. I was scared that they would turn against me so I went back to bed and work up to this,” said Tebohgo Mpondo.
