Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has been discharged from hospital.

The shoot stopper is recovering at home now.

Khune missed Chiefs’ game against SuperSport United on Wednesday night due to the sickness. Chiefs lost that game 1-2 after they saw an early red card.

Khune was hospitalised with a chest infection but his ex, Minnie Dlamini says otherwise.

He posted a picture of himself on his official Twitter account, with a caption that he is finally home.

“Finally home from the hospital…thank you all so much for the get well wishes I love and appreciate you all #GodIsGreat (sic),” tweeted Khune.

The 30-year-old has been withdrawn from the Bafana squad that will face Cape Verde in two world cup qualifiers next month.

South African on-air personality, actress and model Minnie Dlamini has opened up about her past relationship with Khune.

She was speaking in an interview with DJ Fresh and Somizi on Metro FM on Thursday morning.

“I was over the fairy tale, I just wanted to be loved and love. But I knew that if I was ever going to get married, it would be with a perfect and healthy man,” she said.

Minnie’s attitude towards marriage may have been influenced by her past relationships, she said, further addressing rumours Khune had paid R1 million in lobola for her.

“No soccer player ever paid my lobola; the first time it happened was now and I’m getting married now,” she said.

Speaking about her much-publicised break-up with Khune, she said;

“I just wish I woke up sooner, that’s all. Not in a bad way,” she said.

An online tabloid claimed that Dlamini warned  Vanessa Masilo who is rumored to have broken Itu and Minie up to stay away’ from Khune because he gave her an STI.

”He did not visit any hospital for chest infection, while i was with him he could not perform in bed because the infection killed his organs.

”I realised late but i got my self treated immediately. He is a soccer player who is supposed to be active in bed.

”I warned Masilo about it. I wish him best recovery,” she stated.
