Media outlets in Tripoli, the capital city of Libya has confirmed the death of an Emirati National who was killed by their intelligence agents.

They said he was arrested back in 2015 for been involved in a espionage of which he has been awaiting trial ever since. The prosecutor who revealed this to newsmen on Wednesday said that he claimed to be a businessman with no ties to Dubai Police. But after further checking of his phone, they saw pictures of sensitive sites on it;

“He claimed to be a businessman with no ties to Dubai police but intelligence agents found photographs of sensitive sites on his phone, including of the Turkish embassy,” Sour said.

“A member of Libyan intelligence killed the Emirati citizen before being gunned down by security forces,” the prosecutor added, without giving a date for the incident.
