Back in 2014, attempts were made on President Jacob Zuma’s life. It was alleged then that one of his wives made the attempt but the president has made some shocking revelations during the ANC NEC meeting.
President Zuma was addressed the party’s national executive committee (NEC) meeting in Pretoria, The ANC NEC is the party’s highest decision-making body. The party debated the motion of no confidence tabled against pres. Zuma.
The meeting was a heated one and the president was very angry about a lot of things.

He warned that this should be the last time he faced a motion of no confidence.
The Pres. angrily told the meeting he didn’t understand calls for him to step down now as he was not standing for re-election at the party’s elective conference in December.
He also slammed the Gauteng ANC for blaming him for the party’s electoral decline, reminding the province that it had refused to distribute T-shirts bearing his name for the 2016 local government electoral campaign.
He also blamed the party for losing the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality due to infighting that has plagued the ANC in the metro.
To the surprise of a lot of people, the president referred to an alleged plot to poison him back in 2014.
He said he knew who was behind the plot but did not want to harm the ANC because the person as an ally, a friend, a comrade and an ANC respected official.
