The EFF members in KZN are demanding that Shivambu should to explain to them what happened to money allocated for campaigning purposes in the province for the the just concluded local government elections‚ claiming that he misused the money.
During a media briefing in Durban yesterday, the councillor candidate for eThekwini’s Ward 26 Mthandeni Zungu read out a statement from the party’s regional branches which alleged that the party needs to ‘fix’ its leaders at national level
“We must fix our leaders at national because we can see our leaders are broken. Our CIC (commander in chief) we can see that he is on his own. He doesn’t have a deputy president because all over where you hear noise and everything it’s because of the deputy president‚” He said.
He also added that: “I once said I wish Mbuyiseni Ndlozi (the party’s spokesperson) was a deputy president because Mbuyiseni Ndlozi is not a member of a member.”
“Our CIC must know because I am told that there are many things that he is not told. They are trying to hide a lot of things from him but until when? We need answers from Floyd and he must tell us what he did with the money for fighters in KZN‚”
They are also looking at the possibility of moving a motion which will see the likes of Deputy President Floyd Shivambu‚ its Deputy Secretary General Hlengiwe Hlophe-Mexine and Central Command Team (CCT) member Marshal Dlamini suspended for imposing their decisions on the national leadership or CCT
