Former Democratic Alliance (DA) leader and Western Cape Premier Helen Zille has been given an ultimatum.
Earlier‚ DA leader Mmusi Maimane announced that Zille had been suspended from party activities because of her tweets on why colonialism wasn’t all bad.
Helen said she apologised publicly but refused to plead guilty.
She has been given 72 hours by the DA to say why she should not be suspended.
The DA federal executive will make its final decision once Zille had made her representations‚ the party said.
