President Jacob Zuma will today appear before the ANC’s integrity committee.
According to ANC spokesperson, Zizi Kodwa, the committee will not grill the President.
However, reports say that Zuma will be questioned on the court ruling that he violated the Constitution in his handling of the Nkandla matter as well as the State of Capture report which questions his involvement in government contracts obtained by the Gupta family.
The committee consists of party veterans and is chaired by Andrew Mlangeni.
The ANC announced earlier this week that Zuma would not be recalled.
ANC Secretary General, Gwede Mantashe, made the announcement in Johannesburg after an extended National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Irene during which a motion of no-confidence in Zuma was introduced.
The meeting was scheduled to end on Sunday, but was extended after Tourism Minister Derek Hanekom tabled a motion of no-confidence in the president.
The President survived the motion after government ministers were reported to have been divided on the matter.
