The US President Donald Trump announced today that he will be sending more troops to South Africa to help stabilize the country.
South Africa has been passing through some political and economic crises for some time now. Many citizens, opposition parties, Churches, Unions, Prominent men, Students, Tripartite Alliance and some ANC top members have called for the resignation of the president severally.
Speaking through his twitter handle, the US president gave the troubled South Africans some hope. He posted;
”The troops will not leave South Africa until the bad unruly president is removed. I have heard and read the complaints of concerned South African citizens World wide.
Most of them fear their country will be like their neighbouring country Zimbabwe if the current leader does not step down,” stated the us president while responding to a comment on his tweet.
The US president went on to write;
”I’m sending troops to South africa, if Jacob Zuma does not step down he will end up like Saddam and Gaddafi,” he wrote.
Saddam Hussein Abd al-Majid al-Tikriti was the fifth President of Iraq, serving in this capacity from 16 July 1979 until 9 April 2003.
Muammar Mohammed Abu Minyar Gaddafi, commonly known as Colonel Gaddafi, was a Libyan revolutionary, politician, and political theorist
A set of 3000 soldiers landed in Northern Cape today beside the 1000 soldiers who had been in the country for a few weeks now.
Media reports have it that Trump plans to have 80 000 soldiers and other resources in the country before the end of August when the motion of vote of no confidence on President Zuma must have been completed.
When the first 1000 soldiers arrived in the country, it was revealed that they are here for a friendly exercise with SANDF. But now they have set a hug base near Upington.
The one billion Rand question now is, do we need US army and Pres. Tump to save us from Zuma?
