Former mineral resources minister Ngoako Ramatlhodi has released shocking details on how President Zuma’s son Duduzane tried to convince him to meet with Ajay Gupta.
The former Minister said he refused refused the request.
Ramatlhodi detailed how Duduzane had asked him to meet Ajay Gupta‚ one of his business partners.
The minister said since he became minister of mineral resources‚ the Guptas tried to have meetings with him. He refused those meetings. He simply told them to bug off.
Ramatlhodi was moved to the public service portfolio until he was axed in the president’s cabinet reshuffle in March.
When asked who was the messenger who tried to arrange the meetings‚ Ramatlhodi said: “Duduzane‚ the president’s son.”
Ramatlhodi said Duduzane first complained that he had heard rumours that Ramatlhodi was accusing him of being involved in crime.
The Former Minister said he had informed President Zuma of the meeting and how his son is doing.
Ramatlhodi said Zuma said the President did nothing after he reported the discussion to him.
He said he did not cooperate with the Guptas but some other Ministers did to the knowledge of the President.
