EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu has told President Jacob Zuma that the ongoing battle for free education in the country is a necessity.

Shivambu asserted that the EFF has been a devoted propagandist of free education and would continue to uphold calls for accessible and free education for all students.

He said the red block would continue to provide “legal and logistical support” to students in the ongoing protests because the students’ demands are genuine.

He maintained that free education is attainable and must be realized even if it means shutting down the whole country.

“Let’s shut down South Africa to have a free education because it’s a necessary battle. Those who brought about political freedom did everything in their power. We need to deal with it differently as well so that we attain free education because that is a critical component to the struggle for economic freedom in our lifetime,” he maintained.

He assured South Africans that the Guptas must fall, and will be brought down to their knees, together with their handler Jacob Zuma.
