Modise feels she is being prosecuted to put black farmers in a bad light amid the land expropriation discussions in South Africa.

The Speaker of the National Council of Provinces faces allegations of animal cruelty related to animals dying of hunger on her farm in 2014.

The NPA declined to prosecute the case because of lack of evidence even though the SPCA said the conditions on the farm were horrific.
