The African National Congress (ANC) in Tshwane has alleged that the DA is extremely scared of Julius Malema’s party, the EFF in the metro.

Commenting on EFF’s chaotic mass protest, the ANC said the DA refused to penalize the EFF because the blue block is scared of the fighters. The ANC said the DA is afraid of the EFF because the EFF made the DA what the party is in Tshwane.

ANC Tshwane chairman Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, said that the DA-led metro knew the mayhem and vandalism were perpetrated by the EFF members; but decided to chicken out from disciplining the Malema-led party.

Ramokgopa also maintained that the only reason why DA Tshwane Mayor Solly Msimanga refused to mete out punishment to the EFF is because the EFF made him the king of Tshwane for the first time in history.

“It is interesting to note that the executive mayor does not condemn the EFF conduct in the city explicitly because he wants to preserve his position. No one has won the city of Tshwane but he was ascended to that seat through negotiation and a coalition, primarily on the backing of the EFF,” Ramokgopa alleged.

He mourned the state of Pretoria city and the losses residents and shop owners incurred as a result of the lawless protest. Ramokgopa vowed to ensure that those EFF members responsible for the destruction are brought to book when the next council sitting holds.

During November 2 Mass protest, Julius Malema’s party members were spotted carting away goods, cash, and other values worth millions of rand from most stores in the city.

Ramokgopa commended AfriForum for the criminal charges laid against Malema. He said that Malema should be allowed to do or say as he pleases.
