North West police have arrested two learners aged 16 and 17, following the murder of a woman who was a receptionist at their school.
According to the Police Spokesperson, Mpeile Talana, the suspects who are both at Rabboni Combined Christian School in Brits hijacked the victim after she offered them a lift from school.
Talana says the victim was then shot and the body dumped in the bushes.
“At the moment we are investigating three cases – being murder, kidnap and car hijacking after the body of a 50- year-old woman was found in the bushes near the road on Letlhabile-Brits road. At the moment we managed to arrest two suspects aged 16 and 17. They’ve appeared in the Brits magistrate’s court and the case has been postponed until the 30th of this month for further investigations.”
