On Thursday night 18 people sustained minor to moderate injuries after a taxi rollover involving two other vehicles took place on Kliprivier and Bellairs Drive in Joburg South.
Emer-G-Med spokesman Maxwell Cohen said it’s believed that the taxi skipped a red traffic light and collided with the black Audi, causing the taxi to roll and collide with a second car.
“The patients were treated on the scene before being transported to various nearby hospitals,” he said.

That sme Thursday, another 16 people were injured when a taxi collided with two cars on Barry Hertzog avenue in Mellville.
“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the taxi occupants seated on the pavement, others walking around. Fortunately all sustained only minor to moderate injuries,” Cohen said.

Another accident on Thursday morning involving a taxi and a school transport bus in Parktown left seven children injured.
“It’s alleged that the taxi lost control at speed, resulting in the collision. Injuries sustained were minor to moderate,” he said.
Another crash on Thursday, this time in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni, left two people with serious injuries and 12 others with minor injuries after a taxi rolled on corners of Rietfontein road and 3rd streets.
Netcare911 spokesman Chris Botha said the exact details of the cause of the accident were under police investigation.
