Yesterday afternoon 11 people were injured after a taxi and a SUV collided on the corners of William Nicol and Sandton Drives, in Hurlingham.

EMER-G-MED’s RV6, A01 and A03 responded to the emergency call just after 2pm. On arrival they found that the taxi had rolled after the collision.

The 11 passengers sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate and were treated on the scene before being transported to various nearby hospitals for further care.

Fortunately the occupants of the SUV were uninjured.

JMPD were on the scene to investigate the exact events leading up to the collision.
