Armed robbers attacked Oscar Pistorius’s aunt in her upmarket Pretoria home on Wednesday.
Oscar’s aunt Lois, 59, was confronted in her home.
Johan van Wyk Pistorius family spokesperson revealed the incident.
Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo said in a statement that a relative of Pistorius returned to her Waterkloof home from a shopping trip around 15:50.
She was still in the garage when a man wielding a hammer approached her. He threatened her and demanded her rings. He took her handbag, which was on the front passenger seat.
Two robbers brandishing firearms held up her housekeeper and a security guard. The robbers made their getaway in a black car parked outside the house.
Brooklyn police were investigating if Pistorius was followed home from the mall, Masondo said.
No one was injured and no arrests had been made.
