A schoolboy has allegedly been killed by three suspects.

The Ekurhuleni East Cluster, Gauteng, confirmed that four alleged suspects have been detained following the alleged killing of a schoolboy.

Crime Prevention and the Trio Task Team (TTT)  started an operation on Wednesday night (12 October 2016), to locate the suspects who allegedly took the life of a schoolboy of Veritas College.

The victim was on his way home and was carrying his school bag containing his cricket kit when he was approached by three young males.

The suspected were reported to be aged between 16 and 17. The three suspects demanded his cellphone and bag.

It is alleged that one suspect stabbed the victim with a knife when he refused to hand over his belongings and ran away.

An intense investigation was done which led to the arrest of four suspects.
