A mine worker has just passed on, while on duty in the South Deep Gold mine moments ago.
The unfortunate incident brought fear down the spines of other co-workers, who were shocked by the unforeseen accident. Due to the incident, all operations have been shut down indefinitely until further necessary adjustment is made.
However, the Mine management says they’ve notified the Mineral Resources Department and an in-loco inspection is due to take place on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Spokesperson Sven Lunsche : “We immediately stopped all tramming related work at the mine. We’re having an in-loco inspection later on today.”
The mine worker who died as a result of tramming accident, necessitated the suspension pending the full risk assessment evaluation.
