Former UkhoziFM DJ Chilli M is currently in a serious trouble with the Police following a fraudulent report against him. The DJ whose real name is Vukani Masinga reportedly left Ascot Boutique Hotel  without paying his R5,000 bill.

According to the hotel’s manager, Nicky Obel, he stayed at their hotel for two nights in a suite that costs R1465 per night. He further drank alcohol with his friends amounting to R2000 at the hotel’s bar.  Masinga checked in on November 16 and pretended that he would pay the hotel through internet banking.

“He produced a fake FNB proof of payment. We realised the next day that the money had not been paid. The statement was fake,” He told the Sowetan

“On that day, we had decided that we were going to move him to another big room but that is less expensive.

“On the day he left, he went to breakfast and then disappeared.”

Reacting to the incident the DJ said that it’s not true that he didn’t want to pay;

“It is not true that I don’t want to pay, but I don’t like how the hotel handled the issue. If they want to tell the world they can do it, I don’t care. I have nothing to lose,” said Masinga

“I have money in my savings and I want to pay the hotel. The biggest mistake I made was to confide to them about my situation.”

However according to constable Fikile Dlamini who confirmed the news, said they are currently looking for him;

“I can confirm that we are looking for Masinga. The address that he provided to the hotel was fake because that house number does not exist. We drove around in Benoni, Ekurhuleni, until we got tired,” she said.

“We realised that the address did not exist. If Masinga lived in Benoni, why did he check in at a Norwood hotel claiming that he was coming from the airport?”
