She was one of the best hands in the media industry. The death has left unanswered questions from friends and loved ones. One of the ‘SABC 8’ journalists Suna Venter has died.
“It is true,” her colleague Foeta Krige told the media on Thursday afternoon.
The family would send out a statement.
Venter was shot in the face with a pellet gun at the beginning of the year, after coming out of a restaurant in Linden, Johannesburg, while buying take-away food.
She escaped major injury.
Venter was part of a group of eight SABC journalists who were fired, and seven later reinstated, for objecting to former COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng’s policy of no longer airing footage of violent protests.
